Stained glass windows has been noted in England as early as the 7th Century, and has evolved into an art form. Beginning around the 12th Century, stained glass windows began to show up in buildings throughout Europe. Stained glass windows became a fixture in churches depicting religious scenes and icons, and is still used today.
